“Madonna and Child” is my interpretation of the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus swaddled by a mothers heart filled with love! There are several other biblical/religious references in the composition: a white dove symbolizing the Holy Trinity, a cross representing the future and the “Star of Bethlehem”, the birthplace of Jesus, represented by the “aura” around the dove.
