The A-10 Warthog, introduced March 1977 (AKA The Flying Tank), was designed for “close air support” combat situations. Armed with 30 X 173mm rounds, firing from its GAU-8 Avenger Gatling gun, can spit out 3,900 rounds per minute, can create havoc and destruction with most threats. Also paired with the GAU-8 are 2 Air to Ground (AGM-65) missiles if more force is required!
